 Bio:
A true lover of Hip Hop. Thats' my title. I'm the founder and Co-CEO of Music Unlimited Records and I write editorials for several Hip Hop websites, including Ill Hill. I will be supplying Blog Hill with hot editorials daily. I'm young enough to understand today's Hip Hop and old enough for my words to have meaning to the establishment.

 Movies:
Once again I keep an open mind when it comes to art. I feel everything from Madea's movies to Curious George (I have 2 sons).
 Interests:
I'm interested in putting underground Hip Hop back on the map. I'm tired of hearing the same 10 songs all day long on the radio.

Rap, Art or Poison

A couple of days ago I watched Paula Zahn, a reporter on CNN. She was doing a piece on Rap, whether it is art or poison? Zahn and her allies pretty much did their best to belittle Rap as a whole and stereotyped the art form and culture like I haven’t heard in some time, since Rap was being called a fad by politicians and critics years ago.

Rap is not like video games of today. Kids and young adults don’t hear a Rap song and then go out and commit violent or drug related crimes. Kids and young adults witness violent and drug related crimes and then come home and write about what they’ve witnessed and report it to the world.

Rap is looked down upon when it speaks of “b*tches and hoes”, but it is b*tches and hoes that are encountered daily in the inner city where Rap is incubated. Rappers don’t refer to “women and ladies” because women and ladies do what they need to do to be respected and successful and they don’t need to be exposed for who they are.

The mainstream media reports from all over the world daily on various stories but when it comes to the inner city it never reports the reasons for the plight of its people... just the plight itself. Rappers are news reporters for their areas. They depict what’s going on in the neighborhoods they call home. The mainstream media is upset because Rap is a form of media that touches more ears and eyes than they do and lyrics can’t be controlled even with the censorship of the FCC.

I was taught as a child that if you don’t know what you are talking about keep your mouth shut. Paula Zahn and her mainstream media cohorts should do more in-depth research before they open their mouths. It always amazes me how so many highly educated professionals can be so ignorant.

This sh*t is so true...

This was brought to my attention today and I'm ashamed to say as a Black man that it's true. It was written by a white businessman.

THEY ARE STILL OUR SLAVES

We can continue to reap profits from the Blacks without the effort of physical slavery. Look
at the current methods of self-containment that they use; IGNORANCE, GREED,
and SELFISHNESS.

Their IGNORANCE is the primary weapon of self-containment. A great man once said, "The best way to hide something from Black people is to put it in a book." We now live in the Information Age. They have gained the opportunity to read any book on any subject through
the efforts of their fight for freedom, yet they refuse to read. There are numerous books readily available at Borders, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.com , not to mention their own Black owned bookstores that provide solid blueprints to reach economic equality (which should have been
their fight all along), but few read consistently, if at all.

GREED is another powerful weapon of self-containment. Blacks, since the abolition of slavery, have had large amounts of money at their disposal. Last year they spent 10 billion dollars during
Christmas alone, out of their 450 billion dollars in total yearly income.

Any of us can use them as our target market, for any business venture we care to dream up. No matter how outlandish, they will buy into it. Being primarily a consumer people, they function
totally by greed. They continually want more, with little thought for saving or investing.

They would rather buy new sneaker rather than invest in starting a business. Some even neglect their children to have the latest fashion, and they still think that having a Mercedes, and a big house gives them "status" or that they have achieved their dream.

They are fools! The vast majority of their people are still in poverty because their greed holds them back from collectively making better communities.

With the help of BET, and the rest of their black media that often broadcasts destructive images into their own homes, we will continue to see huge profits like those of Tommy and Nike.
(Tommy Hilfiger has even jeered them, saying he doesn't need their money, and look at how the
fools spend with him anyway!). They'll continue to show off to each other while we build solid communities with the profits from our businesses that we market to them.

SELFISHNESS, ingrained in their minds through slavery, is one of the major ways we can continue to help them contain themselves. One of their own, W.B. Dubois said that there was an innate division in their culture. A "Talented Tenth" he called it. He was correct in his deduction that there are segments of their culture that have achieved some "form" of success. However, that segment missed the fullness of his work. They didn't read that the "Talented Tenth" was then responsible to aid The Non-Talented Ninety Percent in achieving a better life. Instead, that segment has created another class, a Buppie class that looks down on their people or aids them in a condescending manner. They will never achieve what we have. Their selfishness does not allow them to be able to work together on any project or endeavor of substance. When they do get together, their selfishness lets their egos get in the way of their goal Their so-called help organizations seem to only want to promote their name without making any real change in their community.

They are content to sit in conferences and conventions in our hotels, and talk about what they will do, while they award plaques to the best speakers, not to the best doers. Is there no end to
their selfishness? They steadfastly refuse to see that TOGETHER EACH ACHIEVES MORE (TEAM)

They do not understand that they are no better than each other because of what they own, as a matter of fact, most of those Buppies are but one or two pay checks away from poverty. All of
which is under the control of our pens in our offices and our board rooms.

Yes, we will continue to help self-contain them as long as they refuse to read, continue to buy everything they see, and keep thinking they are "helping" their communities by paying dues to organizations which do little other than hold lavish conventions in our hotels. By the way, don't worry about any of them reading this letter, remember, 'THEY DON'T READ!!!

--Hip Hop’s #1 Draft Pick Set to Release Debut Album --

--12/27/2006--1:30 AM--New York, NY--
With rappers coming and going like the days of the week, it is now apparent that Hip-Hop needs a breath of fresh air with staying power.

Stepping up to the plate is Young Blue. This is the much talked about battle emcee with the knack for making powerful soul searching songs. He’s one of the few emcees to possess what the Rap game calls the “double threat.” Blue's finally ready to shine on his much-anticipated debut album, "Dear Diary."

About the new album, Blue says, "The album is about everyday life... everyone has a diary, whether mental memories or a written book. These are the things I’ve seen and lived." And, like his label Music Unlimited Records’ CEO A.V. Hodge says, “the streets have been waiting; they want it, so give it to them." With the underground hits "All I Want" and “My Diary” dominating the Internet Blue is dropping a promotional mixtape before the album.

Young Blue doesn’t profess to be the one to save Hip-Hop. He’s just here to show it the respect it deserves. “Dear Diary” will be released Monday, March 12th on Music Unlimited Records through a partnership with dominating online distributor CD Baby. The album will be available over the Internet only. And, a percentage of album sales will go to charities in the New England area where Blue is from.
